Learning through the Land of Israel
The mountain, desert and canyon terrain of Israel provides an incredible landscape for learning about God, His Torah and His people. There is something about walking the same dessert terrain that Avraham Avinu walked or sleeping under the same stars that Yaakov Avinu slept under that puts life in a different and more meaningful perspective. In general, camping out means getting away from everything. Not so in Israel. We don’t camp out to get away, but rather to get in touch. To recognize ourselves and our world in a way which is just not possible any place else.
To help facilitate this unique form of spiritual growth Yeshivat Torat Chaim has come up with a challenging and rigorous, yet spiritual and inspiring series of field trips through out the year. On our hikes you will be professionally trained to safely negotiate a variety of terrains, climates and altitudes which you will encounter during your outings. By day we will challenge you physically, by night we will engage you intellectual, emotionally and spiritually. All together, our field trips will help you to grow in meaningful ways which you can carry with you throughout all of your lives.
Our field trips become progressively more challenging as the year progresses, thus enabling you to reach new heights. The initial outings consist of intensive half-day excursions. Later on in the year we progress to two-three day overnights trips. And by the end of the year you will be ready and able to tackle our most serious expeditions which traverses most of the country. But regardless of their rigor, each and every trip has one theme in common – to you learn about yourself and your world in a manner which only Eretz Yisrael can allow for.
Note: Each of these excursions is carefully planned out by a trained professional so as to provide the maximum amount of benefit and safety. Safety and security in every respect is our primary consideration when planning destinations and activities on all outdoor excursions.
