Physical Fitness at Yeshiva Torat Chaim
Intensive and professional fitness training is an integral part of the Yeshiva Torat Chaim program. Besides helping prepare our students for our outdoor programming, our professional physical training program helps training our students minds as well as their bodies. This is part and parcel of the overall goal of YTC to help challenge our students to find the best that they have within.
To exercise well requires concentration, dedication and fortitude. These are qualities that will serve our students well in all walks of life (including, of course, in their study of the Torah).
The fitness program begins with our trainers designing an individualized program for each student. Each program is based on the students level of fitness (which our trainers assess at the beginning of the year). Our trainers also supervise our students throughout the year in order to both instruct in proper techniques as well as to insure that they exercise safely and healthily.
The intensity, duration, and type of workouts is continuously monitored and upgraded throughout the year, with the nature of each students workout changing according to their individual progress. Our training program includes team sports, weight lifting, individualized exercise schedule, group runs and more.
